Wireless IoT switch options?

<***>

Hi there,

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I’m having a hard time finding relevant answers.

I’ve been wondering lately about what would be the best way to control a switch wirelessly. Most of the battery powered options I find online are either sensors or buttons (that can be put to deep sleep, like a modded ESP01 board).

But what about the other way around? Is there anything out there like a low powered ESP8266/ something with BLE that can trigger a button of something similar?

Any guidance is appreciated.
