Need avice on cultural(?) name & Irish Culture

So. I have a (presumed) English father and an English/Irish mother. My grandparents are half Irish and after that a majority of my ancestors are Irish.

I am part Irish and have always wanted to get in touch with Irish culture as it's something that means a lot to me. Recently I have been researching and learning and I am loving it.

I am a transgender male and my non-legal name is Rowan, however I do not connect with the name and have been looking to change it for over a year but want something similar so it's easier to switch over.

I was watching a video about Irish dancing and things of the sort, and came across the name Rónán. I really love it, but I'm not sure if it is a cultural name and as I am not fully Irish if it would be inappropriate to use the name even though I have been recently participating in the culture.

What are your thoughts on this?
