Successful socialization in the household is also conceptualized regarding the children’s accommodation to and compliance with parent’s expectations and values. Children do not just accommodate everything from their parents, they, however, take an active role in creating meaning, interpreting as well as responding to them and thus may influence the parent’s actions and behavior.
