Role of Flower Girls in a wedding

Three Roles for “Flower Girls”

Flower Girl is the most popular position for children. However, for a wedding, there are generally three distinct roles for little girls – which one(s) appeal to you most?

Miniature (or Junior) Bride – This role comes from medieval times as a decoy to avoid a curse on the marriage and to lure evil spirits away from the bride. She may wear n wedding-style gown complete with train and flowing headpiece or a miniaturized version of the Bride’s gown.

Flower Girl – usually carrying a basket of petals, a child attendant wearing Ivory Flower Girl Dresses in either Formal or Tee length. Announcing the arrival of the Bride, she may sprinkle on the aisle or path.

Junior Brides Maid ā€“This is not really an official title but this designation is certainly preferred by older girls. These young ladies are usually dressed to coordinate more with the Brides Maids and not with a little girl’s dress. This can be tricky, but for Pre-Teen and a Teenage group, you will find wonderful choices in dresses.

Different types of dresses that you can go for are:

Mini bride: this outfit resembles a lot with the bride’s wedding dress, but it shouldn’t be an exact copy of it. Different areas of the dress from Baptism dresses Store can be matched. For example, you should buy a flower girl dress with white beads and a lace if the bride’s dress has the same thing on it.

Colorful: To match the wedding colors this is what you look for in a dress. For a great look, you should ensure that the dress color should match with the wedding theme color.

You should ensure that the flower girl looks great as she is the one who attracts a lot of attention. At the time of purchase you should always remember that the wedding is a one-day affair; therefore, a lot of money should not be spent on the dress, instead shop around for cheaper, but high-quality alternatives.
