Peak climbing expedition is usually both technically and physically very challenging activity for climbing and mountaineering in Nepal.
In Nepal, more than 6000m having 1310 Himalayan peaks including 8 out of 14 highest peaks in the world located in Nepal, identified by Nepal Government. In near future, more mountains will identified by Tourism Board of Nepal. Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has given sole authority by Mountaineering Department of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTA) of issuing peak climbing permits.
